We organized the BIM for Infrastructure conference in Zagreb, Croatia, dedicated to practical implementation of BIM solutions, concepts and best practice.
The conference was held on November 8th 2018 in the sold-out auditorium 6 Cinestar Avenue Mall Zagreb. Over 200 participants from Croatia, Slovenia and Bosnia and Hercegovina experienced first-hand the great opportunities arising from the adoption of modern software and BIM for Infrastructure workflows.
StudioARS General Manager Drazen Galic, technical development engineers Rino Nemarnik, Čarli Brezac-Benigar, Benjamin Bašić and Zvonimir Prgić and Sales and technical support manager Miljenko Jurasić have showcased a comprehensive infrastructure project workflow that includes Urbano, Civil 3D, Revit, Navisworks, BIM 360 Docs and several other programs.
The presentation was based on a real project made by the designers from Projektni biro P45, Zagreb, for the extension of the interchange between Croatian state roads D3 and D8. We showcased a full BIM workflow that included the design of a roundabout, connecting roads and storm sewer with the necessary communication, data exchange and coordination.
As part of the focus group developing the BIM specifications for Hrvatske ceste (Croatian roads public company) we were happy to share our experience and introduce it in a realistic context.
The full presentation offered an important guide for all design companies that want to start producing BIM projects for infrastructure.
We also made an exclusive first look at our new platform for multi-user design of infrastructure pipe networks. This new development will be part of Urbano 10, our main platform for the design, calculation and analysis of storm and sanitary sewage, water, gas and vacuum-sewage pipe networks. Urbano 10 is currently in development and is scheduled for release next year.
After the official presentation was over, we had many interesting discussions about Urbano software and the application of BIM technology in infrastructure design.
We thank all who attended and invite you to join us in future events!
